The Mentelle Neighborhood Association’s annual membership meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the meeting room behind the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass, 162 N. Ashland Ave.
This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your ideas for making our neighborhood better. We will have brief updates from the association, as well as from Third District Council Member Hannah LeGris and Warehouse Block owner Chad Walker. We hope to have someone from the city’s engineering division there discuss storm sewer work in neighborhood planned for next year.
The association also will elect officers and directors for one-year terms. All current officers and directors ( listed here ) have expressed interest in serving again, but other interested neighbors are welcome to run for an office or board position. If you are interested, please email President Tom Eblen.
The annual Mentelle neighborhood potluck picnic is Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Mentelle Park median nearest Cramer Avenue. All Mentelle neighborhood residents and business owners and their families are welcome to attend. (We were sorry to have to postpone it from last Sunday, but this week’s sunny and warm forecast looks much better!)
