All,

While the height of the structure or lighting and privacy issues, including barrier trees, may be meaningful to some, they will be not we significant to council. As to the traffic issue, few (IF ANY) will leave that location to turn on to Walton to cut thru Bell Court. The easiest direction to downtown would be the Midland exit. That exit is the most concerning issue of this whole project as Midland does not have that amount of traffic coming into or off of it at such a dangerous location anywhere along its length.

Even if they plan only right turn out and right turn in, the possibility of other usage and the danger of their desired gating at both ends means serious danger! The amount of traffic, estimated 1,400 vehicles, going in and out of there of residents, and the project’s businesses, is the second most concerning at the other exit as Walton already has massive amounts of traffic, "cut through" and other vehicles. The number of units, generating that amount of traffic is third, but obviously that is true of any location in upward development. This particular location is concerning in that sales of units may NOT be competitive with the massive rush to build ongoing in other locations of Lexington.

The price of the units was fourth in my concerns, and hypocrisy lies in the acceptance of this project at all, not some insignificant particulars of design. We do need to build up and not out, but the obvious increase in high end priced residences for living in downtown is simply wrong, except for profit for developers. I also noted the lack of known designing for recreational or entertainment of residents within the facility.

Sincerely,

don pratt, Walton Ave.
